Here is the English version of the Fischli mittens for babies. The term ‚Fischli‘ is so hard to translate! It’s a minimization, rather used in the southern regions, meaning a cute little fish in german.
And since the fish scale pattern is originally being used on Bavarian men’s socks, I regarded it fitting. Not thinking, at that time, of an english translation…
But I think you get the general meaning and hope you have fun with it! It’s a nice and fast knit. And knitted with a pure wool, these mittens will keep your baby’s hands warm.
